Decal Application
APPLICATION
To apply. Clean surface thoroughly to remove all dirt and substances that may affect the adhesive. Carefully plan where the decal will be placed and add tape it in place with a low adhesive tape such as painters blue tape. When the position has been determined, slowly peel off the paper backer and begin applying the decal. Go slowly to avoid any folds in the decal. Any folds can be lifted and reapplied if caught early enough. Continue to apply and smooth the decal until complete.
Corrections. If a fold is caught after the decal is applied, use an razor blade to trim back the decal until it lays smooth. If a bubble is under the decal, poke a hole with a pin, let the air out until the decal lays smooth. One the decal is applied, it cannot be removed and reapplied.
LIFE
The decals are cut from a resilient vinyl. The decals will have a long life if taken care of. If applied to windows, the weather can affect the decal. Though they do last through most types of weather, avoid hitting the decals with snow scrapers or other objects. Also, try to avoid placing the decals were wipers may hit them causing them to peel. If applied to other objects, be mindful of where they are placed to get maximum life from the decals. For example, if placed on a computer, constant rubbing from a computer back could affect the life. I currently have two decals on my vehicle made from the same vinyl that are going on their second year without any problems.
